Boxing Great Vernon Forrest Murdered in Atlanta
Boxing great Vernon Forrest was killed Saturday night, July 25, in Atlanta. He was just 38 years old.
According to the Associated Press, Forrest was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery or kidnapping.
Vernon Forrest was known for his surprise victories over Shane Mosley when most people on the planet assumed Mosley would win both fights.
Vernon Forrest was a great ambassador to the sports of boxing because he was such a low-key personality.
He did not have all of the drama that other boxers bring to the ring.
Vernon Forrest will be missed by everyone in the boxing world as well as by many millions of people around the world.
