Michael Phelps and Team Win Gold at World Swimming Championships in Rome, Italy
If this sounds familiar, that’s because you heard it last summer at the 2008 Olympics: Michael Phelps and his relay teammates won gold.
Guess what? It happened again.
This time it occurred in the 400-meter freestyle relay at the world swimming championships in Rome.
Phelps had support in the relay, of course, and his teammates were Ryan Lochte, Matt Grevers and Nathan Adrian.
Michael Phelps is arguably the greatest all-around swimmer in the history of the sport, especially after his super-human feat of eight gold medals at the 2008 Olympics.
But can he beat Shaquille O’Neal in the water? Yes, you heard that right.
Michael Phelps will compete against Shaquille O’Neal in a swimming competition for Shaq’s TV show titled “Shaq Vs.,” according to the Associated Press. Of course Shaq will have some sort of handicap, maybe a lead in the pool.
You can bet that a lot of people will tune in to see how Shaq does in the pool against the great Michael Phelps.
