Michael Phelps Sets World Record in 200-Meter Butterfly
Michael Phelps has set another world record, this time in the 200-meter butterfly at the world swimming championships in Rome, according to ESPN.com.
He set the world record in the 200-meter butterfly in a record time of 1 minute, 51.51 seconds.
This goes to show that Michael Phelps is still the best swimmer on the planet. Sure, he is not going to win every match at every swim meet he attends, but he will have plenty of chances to set a world record.
The controversy regarding illegal swimsuits is still going strong, but at the end of the day you still have to have the swimming skills, competitive drive and experience to win the race.
An ultra-modern swimsuit may give other competitors an edge but you will know who the best swimmer is because that person will continue to do well throughout the entire world championships.
Wait until you know who has received the most medals and that is how you measure the greatness of a swimmer.
