Published by darrinatkins at 11:22 am under Business, Technology Edit This

Microsoft has been ordered to stop selling certain versions of its hugely popular Microsoft Word processing software, according to a recent news report by cnet.com.

The ruling comes from a patent infringement case. Federal judge Leonard Davis issued the order. The issue at stake is an XML feature that Microsoft uses within its Word software.

Recently Microsoft was found to have violated a patent and was ordered to pay $200 million.

Microsoft will surely appeal the order and will use all of its resources to be able to continue selling its popular Word software.
